Hello.
I am looking at these Intuos drawing tablets. I read about the features at Wacom's site. Seems great. Question: would an A6 be to small for 1280x1024 (19") or is it ok with an A6 tablet even for that resolution?

Argh, this place really needs that FAQ.

But to answer your question: some people would prefer tablets Rivera mural size, others (like me) find the tiny ones more comfortable. Technically even the A6 size ones have plenty enough precision for any monitor resolution, so it's just a matter of taste.

I use an A6 (Not intuos, though, mine's an Artpad II) with that exact set-up and have no problems whatsoever with it.

let's get a faq as soon as possible.

But, since this thread was on the top, I thought I wouldn't ruin things that much if I dropped a post

Because, i have a question....
I have the old a3 wacom board which I guess supplies most of the abilities that the new intuos table has got. But, for fun I bought some Graphire tablets for me and the other artists at Innerloop to play with, also because I think I will prefer a small tablet. The guy I bought it from said it only supports 1024 width, but I have a much higher rezolution and it is no problem moving pixel by pixel. ??? so, this is a cheaper board than the Intuos models, but does it have much worse sensitivity and control than a really small intuos tablet ??
I ask because I have never been much good with knowing things about this technical stuff, I just use things.

The Graphire seems perfectly fine to me. I don't have one, but its specs are as good or better than the old (pre-Intuos) Wacom pro tablets. Definitely beats my ArtPad II... (though I like the plain design of my pad better than the iMaccy Graphire

About resolution: an A6-size tablet would need a resolution of approximately 300 dpi for a monitor resolution of 1600*1200, if my quick calculation is correct. Even the old Wacoms had resolutions of over 1000 dpi, so unless you're planning to buy a 50" monitor, don't worry about tablet precision.
(This really, really should be in the FAQ. And Joachim, the guy you bought it from obviously doesn't know anything about the product he's selling, which of course is perfectly normal with computer hardware...)

I have an pre-Intuos A4 sized tablet which is sooo cool! But the plastic surface is getting a little scratched and worn. Can you buy and put on a new plastic surface?

Yep...

My wacom has a little scratch too...
Nothing too bad, but a little annoying at times, when the tip runs over it...

Can you change the overlay?
