here's how our kids'll look in the future
my latest image and my personal favourite, this is my first real serious stab at doing a character. took me a lot of fiddling, and i know the right shoe is a bit off compared to the rest of the piece but.. what do you all think?
ideas, advice etc much appreciated - i learnt a lot doing this one. i think.
right then..

One thing I noticed was that I think you need to decide what kind of shading you want.
The pants (and most of the image) have a sharp shadow transition, whereas his left shoe has a very smooth shade..
I'd also add a bit more shadow to the skin tones, personally.
