I found a way to make the smudge-tool superfast - check my webpage tomorrow, there's a tiny little tutorial about it (it's down for springcleaning today). Or search the forum - I posted it about two weeks ago ... search for 'smudge'

Hi! I just started coloring my images using the computer. I can color and shade pretty good, but when it comes to smudging, I need some serious help.. Does anyone happen to have any tips or know of any tutorials to aid me?

If you want my advice, I'd tell you not to smudge. That will often lead to a blurry mess of an image. Try shading with the painting tools instead. (I think there are technique tips for this scattered all over the forum.)
