Hi.
I wonder what you folks use, making all these nice pictures. What software, hardware etc. Do most of you use drawing boards (artpads?) or do you use mouse?
TIA

Hi!
Most of the artists here use:
* Pencil, paper, rubber, ink... + Scanner
* Clay, or other sculpting stuff
* 2d Programs like Adobe Photoshop, Painter, ..
* 3d Programs like 3dsmax, Rhino3d, Maya, POVRay (which is freeware by the way)...
* mostly tablets for drawing, some drwa with mouse
Personally I use:
A PII350Mhz 64 MB RAM (not enough ram at all)
mouse, scanner, 3dsmax, Psp 5.0.

Hard:
Dual (x2) 500Mhz PIII, 256 MB RAM, 19" Sony monitor, ASUS V6600 GeForce, Some IBM Deskstar HD's, Wacom 6x8" ArtPad, misc. blah blah...
I'm goin' to buy a digital camera soon, mostly for texture work and portraits.
But really... the most important thing when working with highres photoshop art is RAM!
Soft: (primarely)
Photoshop 5, Painter 6, Illustrator 8, Lightwave.

I wonder about this artpad. Why does the Graphire A6 cost half as much as the Intuos A6? Both are same size, and from same manufacturer. Why this huge (relative) price gap?
