Good eve,

Since a lot of you out there have your very own sites up and running, and probably have more experience than me, could you take a look and tell me what you think?

That's your first try at HTML? Looks pretty good, you dont wanna see my firsttimer

A couple of things to think about :

The icons as navigation are a great idea, and their positioning is good, but they look a bit jaggie. Maybe fix that by a lower compression rate or smoothing them out in PS. Another thing is that they are an ittybitty boring like that, maybe add mouseovers? that'd cheer it up.

Something else : the blue bar is a nice idea, but the color doesnt entirely match the greytints found in the rest of the website. That's just my opinion though. Maybe add some funky text to it as well, like "Nova's Online Portfolio".

Overall i think it's pretty nice. It's clean, easy to navigate, blazingly fast and fairly original navigationswise.

Like Spitfire said, it's a really nice site if it is, in fact, your first attempt at webdesign. Personally, I'd get rid of the grey borders, or maybe give them a nice soft tone (lavender, ahhh). Just my 2 cents.

Oh, could you please post a more recent picture (just for us guys here)? You looked really cute as a kid, and I have the feeling that hasn't changed in the meantime

Hahaha! Oscar = Pimp!

Nova: I think your design is very good! Although it may not be all fancy and technical, it's simple, functional and does it's job well.

I agree with oscar about changing the grey. But since it's is just a "skeleton" like you said, I assume your going to gradually work and refine the design, it has a lot of potential.

Hope it helped!

Slap it with some colors! Or are you going for a black and white look?

Nice Xoom.com logo! (just kidding)

But i like it, easy to Navigate, fast loading on 56k.

Hi!

Very cool drawings on your site in the gallery section! (I guess you like pointed ears don't you ?)

The webpage-outlook although makes an impression that cannot quite hold up with your drawing quality. For my liking the icons look too jagged and this blue graphic on the upper right look too jagged too.
Don't get me wrong, your art is great but you should work a bit on the page because after all it gives the viewer a first impression.

btw. you may critique my page too if youre already at it.

I'd really like some feedback too so I can improve.

for great help with webdesign check out places like:

three.oh
neutral?

hehe

other things to remember are that the simplest designs are usuallt the best. go clean, go white, go clear icon and text graphics. use rollovers with animated gif's for a really simple but very stylish look, and get to know frames and how to use them.

layers are also very helpful so learn those as soon as you've mastered basic html.

good luck!
