Yes! Thats right no more Mr. nice Shizo anymore.. i get pretty tired of seeing all those bums stealing and copy/pasting something they didnt do (which in my eyes has no point). I mean WTF is this?! I go in Dhabih image gallery, save image i like best, and show to everybody like i did it? Hmm i have not a slightest idea why people would do it, and why so MANY do it.
Its pretty hard to FIND this scum since the guy can show those pictures ANYWHERE. I think we should sign a petition to 3dpalette.com to solve this problem. Say have a lil' section where if people see something suspicious they'd email to investigators and they would then contact the rippers..
and if they dont stop rippin', you know what happens!!!

I can offer you 47 of my best Mig's, Comrade. Unfortunately, my countrymen would not agree to commit more than 5 warheads.
We shall have to make do, my friend ;p

PS: Yes, people who feel they must get recognized and aren't confident or successful enough by themself sometimes resort to such measures... I couldn't live with myself if I did that - art is sacred! It's *one* thing to look at something - and entirely another to just dup it! *sirens going off loudly* |

IMHO...
There are many young people, especially (and only?) in America who have absolutely no idea of what the real world is like, and cannot come to terms with being so under-par to the people they respect and admire. So they try to fit in, be famous, and be part of the 'hot crowd' that some people envy by taking credit for other people's work. It becomes an addiction, almost like a compulsive liar.
In a simular way in January, some American musical artist by the name of 'Jay' was selling over MP3.com some ripped music from famous demo scene composers. After a while, he was found out, and his world came crashing around him like a bad dream. He also took credit for some soundtrack music from famous movies like Titanic, etc.
It's sad in a way, but these people should realise that great artists have worked their asses off to produce like they do and get to the point where they are. Unfortunately, people who will always remain Anonymous like 'Threnody' will probably continue ripping under another name, on another board, trying to get the attention he so lacks and craves for.
I'm not pointing the finger to anyone, as I hate to do so -- so for my part, this is not a Mongoose flame, yet.
For those of you who find themselves described in the first paragraph, please do something about it, get out there, buy books, practice, take the time to get better on your own, and do your own work. Only then will you feel like you actually acheived something that is true -- and the feeling is incomparable, cause you don't have to lie to yourself and have remorse about using other's work.
Sad.

This is a sad day for the Art community. I wish I could say, "Give the guy another chance...maybe he will learn. But it sounds like you have been given another chance and failed. I am curious as to why you did it in the first place? Was it so you could be with the in crowd? Be recognized for something you didn't do? Well whatever reason I hope that you have learned from all this shit you are going through. That explanation you gave was very vague, it had nothing to back it up with, as far as we know you made that up just like everything else. IMHO I would confess to everything you are guilty for, stop this stupid charade of being something you are not. Start out on your OWN TWO GOD DAMN FUCKING FEET!!!! *pant* *pant* I am a very understanding person and can forgive and forget....but the shit stops here I hope you read this.

Frost, I must say that your comment was one of the most eloquent, beautiful, and poingnant things I have ever read on this World Wide Web of lies and deceit. The ease of intellectual theft is an unfortunate consequence of the anonymity that the internet provides. We can only lead by example.

Well I got the German half of me, but we really don't want to go there...My other half is Lebanese...I know, I'll have a bunch of Lebanese People go to the target location...That will Blacken the Area.
As for all of this shit...I'm sick of it, there are only 2 reasons to do it that I can think of.
1. To make yourself think somethin you are...Just like puttin on a superman suit and going hangliding...it's all fake...
2. To be popular, have a big portfolio. Sad thing is that most of these people (aka Mongoose) seem to have the skill, but are to lazy to do enough work to fill there portfolio, so they copy other people's shit.
And WTF's with the underground scene bullshit??? I keep hearing people sayin everybody in the "underground" scene knows I copied this, but, hey I don't care... You just trying to make money and be popular anyway, of course you care.
Hey, right now I am not that good, and angst to be good, but if I am never as deft as the artists here, thats me... I rather be an honest artist and suck than be a lying pussy that says I am good.
To all the people who posted there plagerized shit on the forum, STOP defending yourselves, fess up that u screwed up, and a apologize if you ever want to earn back the respect of some of the true artists on this site.
And remember that no big corporation, no loving audience, not even a family member deserves more respect in this scene than your fellow artists.
Be Creative
Be Surreal
Don't be a lying ripper...
THe CyPHa
And if anyone doesn't agree with this that's fine, say what you like, educate me... |

Snake,
Yeah, you're right. I should just keep my damn mouth shut from now on and just stop posting my feelings and comments on all this recent crap. Besides, I'm not intelligent enough to be a philosopher, or much of anything else.
I'll just go back to my cave and continue carving pictograms...
cheers =)
