I was just wondering all i've seen is artistic drawings of characters and such, does anyone do any type of skins for game models or textures for walls in games? if so it'd be neat to see what you people do!

My brother and I are working on a film, in which we will try to incorporate fully 3d characters. I'm gonna be doing the textures for those.. already textured one of the ships.

I'm working on a HL MOD called "Field of Conquest," and I am learning how to do textures. It's pretty straight forward, and there are good resources on how to do it.

I have a test page up for the mod: http://www.allping.com/foc

I've done a lot of custom textures for half life, however they were all very large (ranging from 1024x1024 - 2048x2048), the textures were intended for a promotional level showing off S3's texture compression technology. Unfortunately the software/hardware they sent me was still very buggy at the time and wouldnt work correctly on my system, this led to the level never being completed and a lot of wasted textures... really burned me out with mapping cause I had an awesome vision of how the level was going to look and never got to complete it, and actually now that I think of it, I havent mapped since then..

Just imagine a gothic cathedral type level covered with photorealistic textures and you will begin to see what I am talking about. Ah well, maybe if Quake3 had single player I'd convert all the textures and build the level in Q3... But it seems my interests are elsewhere at the moment.

We're always looking to add mappers and texturers to the mod team if you're interested.
