I was wondering if there are any ravers on this forum?

I tend to have casual sex with raver chicks. Does that count?

I raved until they turned pop and mainstream and shiz, then I quit doing them. You know, way back when you would say "I'm going to a rave tonight." and people would say "You're going to a what now?"

Good times. *sigh*

ravers need to be dragged behind the barn and shot in their necks.

*quad damage picked up*

Rave was definitely an innovative venue during techno's formative years (89-92ish), but lately its just sad. The current happy- hardcore-white-glove-teenage-line-dancing-e-fueled-PLUR-crap is but a shell of what rave used to be. Maybe its different in the UK, but rave is no longer about the music here in the states.

Fuck PLUR, fuck nitrous, gimme real techno and big speakers. Beltram is god.

*quad damage expired*

phew

man, ravings just lost lost it now. There used to be a place not far from where I live called The Bunker that held raves but is closed now cause all the ravers stopped taking speed, got married and started listening to pop music.

If you want something that comes close to the original rave feeling, go find some very very underground hardstep/techstep/darkstep drumnbass parties. Those can be really insane.

Why is that Faustgfx?

I went to a 2 raves this summer. The first one was amazing, it was like being on a high. The second one was . . .well. . .it was what you guys are talking about here. All pop shit, with teenagers taking drugs they can't spell.

Overall, I go to raves, for the music. No drugs . no bad house music . only good music.

i like some of the music but i'm not into the 'scene' -- i prefer to skip the raves, and instead go to house parties where my friends are spinning. much better atmosphere in my opinion..
