Hey.. i have been screwing around with photoshop for a while now.. but i havent figured out how to make something actually good. I have a great amagination and sometimes it gets me into trouble. I have some GREAT ideas but i can't make them happen if you know what i mean. I dont really know how to use any art programs. I would say all my idea's on here but i wanna save my ideas for until i can make them. If you wanna hear my ideas or you can help me.. please contact me at either [email protected] , [email protected] , or on instant messanger - extructive.
here is one of my ideas. Last night i was in bed and it was really hot. So.. i finally managed to get to sleep although i was DAMN hot and sweaty... so - i wake up (i think i was awake) and i fell like i am glued down to my bed. and i had a nightmare where i am melting to the floor and i am like trying soo hard to get up but i just cant.. and my arms and legs become huge like.... ropes that are holding my down attactched to the floor. and the ropes (my arms and legs) are really flesh. and it is all deteriating... i know it might not sound all that great.. but what i amagined scared the living piss outta me!! I know that if i had any artistic ability that i could act that out to give anyone scarry dreams... but i dont so until then - hehe
if you wanna hear any of my other insane ideas... contact me |

I was looking at the tuterial thing on this site and i took the non-colored in sketch and i tried to color it in... and it looked HORRIBLE! so i took the already colored in one - and i tried to shade it... it looked even worse. does this mean something? like... i suck at art? well i do now but i mean is there hope for me? hehe
So another words do i just need a lot of practice or should i have already have some art abality? please help me out here and gimme some pouinters or something .. as you can see i am despritally in need. Thanks sooo much -ex

Did you try the TUTORIALS? personally i started a year ago in PS and still suck at it LOL! I think first thing i drew was a SHADOW (heheha) yes.. i started with that trick i saw in some tutorial where you make some text then select that layer, then copy and fill with black and push the layer down
But that doesnt matter.. first you wanna go on main dhabih site and click tutorial (he got only 1 in 100 years) so you wanna go find more tuts like here
tutorials @3dpalette
and here
tutorials warehaus
that will start you off.. and you dont need no art classes to become good at it
also bookmark art websites like 3dpalette.com and *hmm there are more? lol* and be checking out new pieces and maybe catch some details you might wanna try to draw yourself

To learn photoshop, I suggest you download some pics from the internet and then try compositing. It's a great way to get a feel for the tools in photoshop and, with a bunch of practice, you'll fell comfortable using the program. This is as important as having any sort of art skill as it is your medium and without knowledge of your medium, nothing you do will look good. Someone may be great with watercolors, but get them to try and use something they've never used before and they'll have a hard time making something pretty.
For honing your artistic skill, I suggest a lot of sketching. I find carrying a sketch book with me at all times is best. This works best if you are a student of some sort as you can just shove the thing in your bag and pull it out whenever you have a free moment. Also, try buying some art books, both instructional and prints of great art. Instructional books are good for helping you learn the fundamentals. Looking at and copying prints of works by such artists as DaVinci or Rembrandt will help you develop your own style while learning history and getting a better understanding of how the greatest artists of all time did it. How do you think people have learned to paint throught the ages? There hasn't always been the internet or cheap books. Back in the day people had to copy great art to learn how to do it. Even now, go to any museum and you'll see art students sitting around copying paintings.
This may sound like a lot of stuff to do, but , as far as I'm concerned, it's the best way to learn about art.
