it seems that every time i try to color in a sketch i can never seem the colors looking right in the face.. when i use Multiply it makes the face dull and if i use burn it turns it an ugly orange color. i was wondering if any of u can tell me or show me how to paint the face and show the defferent steps used |

Hmmm, well I had the same trouble with my pictures coming out an orange color when I was first starting out....When using the burn tool, set the opacity down some, possibly around 30/50%..see what that does for ya.

WARiii,
try painting first without immediately resorting to all sorts of additional settings. With that I mean set your brush to normal mode and just paint. Lay off the multiply stuff and the burn/dodgy features untill you are more comfortable with the tools and the colours they produce.

thanks for the help, but i was more curious on how to paint it, none of the tutorials i have seen never really went in to detail on the processes step by step, what i would like to know is what tool would be the best, what color to use (same on or a darker tone), thanks again |

aye... burn/dodge be a fine tool.. don't go bashing it.
soon you all will see... sooon... muhaahhwhahhaa! erm.
the way i prefer to work is to draw in greyscale with burn/dodge, then colorize on a new layer on top of it all. makes more sense to me myself.
being grey scale to begin with, there won't be nasty tone changes.
