Draw, Draw, Draw!
Drawing is a good idea, no matter how bad or good you are!. Like all things the more things you do the more experience you get out of it. The more drawing you do will enhance you skill. As a 3D artist myself, I know drawing things out helps the plan of an animation instead of opening up a 3d program, experimenting and coming up with nothing.
There's always time for D-R-A-W-I-N-G.
By the way,
Here's a few places to draw in your spare time:
-In the bathroom (Laugh!)
-In a bar on a cocktail napkin
-sparetime anywhere!
Keep on Drawing!
