Music 2009 (and beyond)

[Some ground rules]

*Post only one song in each post
*Preferably "Artist name" + "Song title" in the description
*Feel free to comment though without posting song or title

ok let's have a blast

It's time for an olden goldie, rocking it classic guitarr 70's style!

Ian Matthews - "shake it"

If it doesn't ring a bell that song is played in the opening scenes in the movie little darlings from 1980.
I found out about that movie through an interview with Vince Vaughn, It's his favorite movie, well how's that for a hip factor?!! Cool

I was thinking it might be appropriate to only post music released this year, but then my music listening went from a minimal electro phase to a hardcore/screamo phase to what feels like a serious dub phase starting right now. SO, here's one from 1981:
"Beam Down" from the album "Scientist meets the Space Invaders" by, who else, Scientist:

I got stuck on the Portal song after I finished the game too. It's really quite a brilliant want to end the game.

I learned it on guitar too. I played it yesterday. To an audience of just me.

This is pretty brilliant:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tprMEs-zfQA

What is it? The guy took a whole bunch of YouTube videos and edited them together into an album of new songs. That's just track one, there are six others and they're all just as good.

August Burns Red - Endorphins
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwWwOVWih9M

wow youtube has really turned into shit. Copyright infringement is really a paradox, especially when the musicians only get like 0.1% of the profits from records. Do the record companies really have to bathe in money?
Anyone of you that has followed the legal process of Pirate Bay?

I still think there has to be a new system for culture, why the hell should descendents to Mozart and such still get royalties from songs made hundreds of years ago.

Is this really happening?

Most artists are sluts anyway. The record companies are their pimps.

The only way is to make music for free and work at the warehouse to support yourself.
