The problem i'm having is every time i paint with a certain Grey, or similar dark color, it becomes extremely hard to see the brush curser. It just vanishes into the color, making it dificult to see where the brush is.. Any ideas??

I have completely calibrated my monitor. I have a 21" Viewsonic G810. Please tell me you've ran into this and you've learned how to fix it!..

Thanks!!

If you're working in Photoshop, for example, you could add an adjustment layer at the top layer and change the brightness to +/- 10. Or, you could add a layer at the top and then fill it with any color and turn the transparency down to 10 or so. Both of these would modify your image (while you're working) just enough so that the naughty grays wouldn't blend with the cursor. Alternatively, just don't use that gray color in the first place!

If this doesn't work, try turning your monitor upside down. Many times the gamma rays from the screen settle to the bottom and decalibrate your monitor settings.

I'm kidding.

I wish I had a <hotkey> solution to this problem, but I've only found the topmost examples to be of help - at least to me.

Perhaps someone has a magic whizbanger that'll do the trick...?

Good luck Nocturnal - I'm goin' ta bed... rise and shine!

Just an Idea(it works for me ) If you can't see your curser, hold down the "Ctrl" keyfor PC) MAC would be the "Command" key. It will temporaraly change what ever selected tool in to the "Move Tool"Technical term:The Black Arrow Thingy. I hope this helped a little. Oh and I find that a light tap from a 30lb sludg hammer to the screen gives a good idea where that little bugger might be....this theroy is untested and I take no responsibility for any bodily harm that may incure......
