we all have creative blocks and periods when our creativity is on a vacation. I was wondering what you guys do to work around this and what you guys' (and gals) find inspirtion from when creating peace.

Nothing can be forced thinking about my experience - I found that it comes in waves, simetimes you want to do three paintings at a time, and then you have a hard time even looking at a pen ...

I also have a counteractivity, which fits quite nicely into my visual-creativity down - making music ... great fun and completely different and relaxing!

Aha, as Loki said, it's like a wave process... sometimes you up sometimes you down. There is nothing you can do... just relax and don't think about it - our mind sometimes need a rest.

Hmmm....I had a creative bolock for almost 5 months now. when I doodle I start drawing scratches and lines that go nowhere. Just recently I have been into the creative mood....reason for that? I went through some of my old sketch books and started pulling out the crappiest of drawings and redoing them, inso much that I start getting new ideas... Ideas of pure cooolness....ya just need to find what sparks your intellect{spelling}, wich mine is so limited.

Usually i go and do something else like messing around with music, computers, go watch some movie(s) whatever I feel like doing and when the need comes around to draw again i'll go draw. Like yesterday i sat down and doodled for about two hours trying to get proportions right with lady figures and in the end the doodles looked better than when i first started out. Not good but good enough for now, for me anyways.

So when i have a creative block i don't do anything about it, i just do something else
