The theme for this month:

IMMENSE

Inspiration image by John Harris

Something so immense that it's epic. So, we're not talking about something that's just large, or just big, but something that suggests an almost incomprehensible scale. I suspect that having humans in the image is the key.

If you haven't seen them yet, have a look for the humans in the John Harris painting above. No one does immensity as well as Harris.

2D and 3D accepted, digital and not, finished or sketched. Feel free to cross-post images into other relevant threads, and to post older images that fit the theme. The more the better.

Really like this theme.

Context: about 2km of a 113km corridor (if my math is right)...

Likewise, love the theme! Hopefully there will be plenty of entries during the month. ^___^

I have not seen the works of John Harris in ages, too bad his artbook seems to be out of print in most places. Crying or Very sad

Mine is a nod of appreciation to Chriss Foss and his giant robots. I recently got his artbook and I heartily recommend checking it out. Smile

p.s. *applauds @ durgldeep for being first* I would love to see an overpaint/sketch of the first big sinkholethingy, looking downwards from right were the second person is standing. ^___^

I found an old illustration of a severed, mechanical hand on my HD and it gave me an idea for this months theme. Confused
Voil!

@fi-V-e: Scary! I love the idea and the spotlight area in the painting.

No, that's the opposite of spam.

And each new pic is better capturing the theme. That last one really nails "immense". Very cool.

Sumaleth, thank you! Smile

I've been trying soooo hard to come up with something else than robots... but it just does not work.
