That horse carriage is very familiar, you are over at Cgsociety aren't you?
I wouldn't change a thing, I really like your work in here very good. |

It's hard to give feedback without knowing what these are for?
If these are mood concepts then they are spot on! I wouldn't change a thing, but if these are concept paintings, then I would say that you could have more definition in shadows since now I can't see any detail there (or is it just my monitor?). You just have bright light and then it changes to completely black. It's almost like you have extremely intense light sources that bounces specular highlights from every object, but for some reason doesn't reflect any diffuse light.
But yeah it kind of depends what these are for..
Hope this helps

But dring my painting process, I sitll have so many problems ,some of them I can find out, something I cant.Sometimes I just know the bad things are happening on my canvas So,its been a long time that I didnt paint anything new but just wanna find out where my problem is,and Im sure that I will make the same mistake again and again and again until I chang something or learn something new...
Such as the following image here,at the very beginning I still like the feeling of the value or sacle, but you know,at last one I just get more and more confuse...

I really like the middle shot on that progress picture that you posted. What you can do is to divide the foreground and background more, for eg if you have a one tone background you can make some parts of it more bright and vice versa when it comes to the foreground. Foreground; Darker and then slighlty brighter.
You could make a path to get a depth without changing the elements....
I think the problem you are looking for in your finished is that you refined everything perhaps a bit too much. I believe we all have the same problem, making that balance and still have detail is very difficult.
Anyway, that 4th progress shot is amazing. You could add a little more detail to that one and make some parts more vibrant.
I tried a quick overpaint but I am afraid that I changed your concept too much.
Cast shadow on parts like the castle and such always gives you an intruiging surface to look at.....:
Here I made changes to the foreground and then the background. And less saturation. Add saturation where you want focus.
Anyway all in and all I really like your style in your work. |
