Plagiarism really gets me going (partly why I wish I could do everything without reference). Found a couple threads (below) while trekking through the backlog... Search returns no similar topics (guess it doesn't search titles; see "fraud", below) so maybe a catchall is a good idea...
"Fraud... check this out!"
http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=15237
"Jean Pichinoty..Ripped art again.."
http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=15047
"Is your copyright being abused at this site?"
http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=31950
Will add any others (not gonna spend hours in the backlog but am on a roll atm)...

There are search programs that compare images, used for searching copies of a particular image on the web. The one I've used is http://TinEye.com . It's not as comprehensive as I'd like, but it does find stuff. I've used to it find many uses of my digital artwork that I did not know about. _________________ HonePie.com

Thanks eyewoo. Didn't know about the search program...
Just found another thread (added above) - u've been at this a while.
Glad to see at least a few people are quite proactive ...
Edit:
Finally got around to looking at the site...
"TinEye looks for the specific image you uploaded, not the content of the image."
http://www.tineye.com/
So TinEye finds/matches only images of the same dimensions and name (example "test.jpg"). Good to know. |
