No place to put this (not a speedie, etc.), nothing suitable in the backlog so, new topic...

Back to the basics for me (for a while); a very wooden first try (below). Had no idea shadows are so complex/tricky - and cool/awesome (realized the darker part of the main shadow was another (diffuse) shadow: bounce from the ceiling - awesome!) Very Happy

There was a time when you would have gotten 30+ replies on this. I know nothing of the basics myself, but this looks pretty spot-on to me.

Thanks Tinusch, the interest in basics didn't last long (gladly). Smile

Thanks Sumaleth. Smile

"There was a time..." got me looking at the first post:

"keep in mind this web site is not my busine$$; its a personal homepage"

Spark to a flame - though could use a phoenix about now? Very Happy

Yes, there was a time....LOL!

This reminds me of that cube-excersise that everybody was in on some 10+ years ago. Well, i'm not the one to say too much about it since i'm not that schooled when it comes to theory. We had Fred_flicks_stones, but i guess he's not around anymore? To me it looks very good! It looks about right to me Smile

micke... Embarassed [speechless appreciation for micke's work/opinion]
Thanks! Smile

And that's a good question: who *is* still around?
(one I can ask only as a long time lurker, mostly)...

Typical, I get around to drawing about a decade late -
and when I do show up everyone leaves, lmao. Very Happy

I think many are still around, but they pop in once or twice a year.

It's by mouse/'from life' (if that's the right term; a Bristol board icosahedron).
If I could do that in 3D, I'd be happy (still a beginner). Smile
