I thought you guys might be interested in this website. It's kind of like the French equivalent of the sijun forum. Its the ideal meet up spot for speedpainting enthusiasts.
They hold speed painting competitions, host expositions and workshops.
Their competitions consist of choosing a specific theme and mandating that participants complete their artwork over a short & fixed timeframe.

I feel like many of you guys could make a name for yourselves if you took part in their competitions. Unfortunately its in French. I'd suggest using google translator to help you navigate their site and perhaps take part in their contests.
