Well I posted my problem with matte paintings, but when I think better I think I have a general problem fitting things together..

they always seem layered.. And I can't put my finger on it.
It seems as I'm mixing different styles ..but i'm not sure..
any comments r welcome Sad

one thing i do see is inconsistent perspective. for example the first piece, the orange guy should be at least smaller to truly fit in. It also seems that your pictures are using a wide view, but the distortion of using a "wide" lens isnt apparent in your figures.

I like your work. I think to fix your problem you need to draw proportional lines and line things up that way. You should be able to find some guides on this online.
Great work by the way, looks great! Smile

Here's a quick example on what I mean though, this was whipped up quite quick though. It's just to give you a general idea on how you can make things look much better with perspectives to your images. Hope that helps in some way. Although make sure to look up some guides to get better perspectives than what I've provided.
