img tag doesn't work for some reason

This is an awesome painting ideakodiang. i really like the texture work in the sky. It could use a bit more blending though. What are those green scribbles on the ground?

Unfortunately I don't think ConceptArts allows anyone to attach from their server, which is probably why it does not work...

Sorry for using the thread abit for technical discussions instead of focusing on the art, but the engineer in me got poked. Suffer the consequenses!

Some testing seems to indicate that the img-tags only work if the path provided SEEMS to be a proper image. To be specific, it has to be a valid url and the url has to end with .jpg or some other recognized image-format.

Here are some tests to illustrate this.
On my fileserver, i have an image called katheryn-eye.jpg, here linked with the img-tags.

Works fine!

In this img-tag i intentionally introduced a spelling-error.

A broken image shows instead.

I also made a copy of the image on my server, with the same filename, except the file-ending was changed from jpg to txt, linked here.

As you all can see, the img-tag with the txt-ending is not just broken, it's not even processed. The img-tag itself does not work!

So the conclusion would be that the reason why the image in the thread does not work is not because of someting on conceptart.org's side, but rather because of sijun itself, that do not allow for -odd- image-formats, such as php script-based images in the case of conceptart.org.

yea script disabled, some forums allow youtube attachments but this is also not allowed here so it seems. I tried that [youtube] tag once.

Borillius, the cache didn't work for me, still see the code in the op. Perhaps cookie setting?
