Yo, what's up with all these new digital photo cameras?
Of course everyone disables digital zoom on cameras by default, but now they started upsampling photos even at base level. F*cking MEGAPIXEL WARS. I could resample sh&t on my computer myself if I wanted to. But I would always prefer a crispier image rather than a fancier number like "15mp" on the face of my camera. They're full of it. It seems like an effect of "corporate production" where businessmen control the product designer's decisions. I don't think any self-respecting specialist would create a SHYTE product like that.
I understand that I'm barking under the wrong tree, as most people here print immaculate high-res photographs all day long, but DAMN!!
Oooh.. so angry.
SO ANGRY!!! ![Twisted Evil](images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif) |

Don't look down on shizo quality, mothafukka!!!
I like the old brick cameras, some of them were splendid. Of course I'm not talking about pro cameras. But new consumer cameras made me angry and blow a fuse. I'm not angry anymore.
Ginseng tea with aromatherapy and acupuncture did the trick. |

No guy, articles can be found on google.
I've seen something on dpreview.com long time ago talking about photo resolution and actual light data resolution coming from CCD.
You don't need articles, just look at any photo taken at max res using a consumer camera. Come to think of it, it's not a new thing. It just makes me angry because the bloated max res files are so effing large now.. and of course max photo resolution is set to default when you buy a camera and 80% of people don't know anything about res or file sizes so they don't change it. And that affects me directly when I get a batch of 4239x3045 10mb family photos or something.. so lame!
And that of course it supports the rest of the industry selling terabyte hard drives etc. to store all of that bloated junk.
BS!
PS: (lol, pun)
Look into old film cameras. I was skeptical but DAMN.. the photos are beautiful and "live". Kinda like listening to vinyl records. Shizo quality my man, that's nothing to joke around with.

Isn't the purpose of marketing to lie, deceive, mislead, lie, cheat and.. lie. How much would one of those TV-shop products sell if they would tell you right away that you really don't want to buy that shit.
I mean if you were a marketing dude, you would do anything to bring food on the table for baby Shizo. And then you would lie some more to make your famous Shitzo quality product sell even more, and of course on that point you make so much food on the table baby Shizo would become fatzo.
Besides if you look at the bottom of the product and it reads "Made in China". You can only expect Shizo quality. ![Laughing](images/smiles/icon_lol.gif) |

As long as the mass public remain as ignorant and lazy as they are, the marketing people will go on with this nonsense. It's just like other silly things in the consumer market like glossy computer displays that glare like a muthafucka, or massive storage space on a mp3 players with horrible dynamic range and grainy sound and useless features, or horrible sounding headphones that boost the bass and treble to hell and is practically unlistenable to anyone who cares about listening fatigue.
It's always funny when I get asked how many megapixels my Canon 1D MKII has. When they're told it's only about 8.5 MP they look disappointed. I guess they figure such a professional looking camera should have astronomical megapixels. |

Ironically, the F series from Fuji are some of the best consumer compact cameras on the market despite their low prices. They've been leading the high ISO performance of the consumer market for a number of years now, and my wife and I swears by the F series when we need to travel light. The latest F model also has vastly improved dynamic range, which was sorely needed. |

By the way, I don't care what y'all digital f&*#ers are saying, but I've became a true believer in the old film cameras. Sh*t's real. Like vinyl records and tube amplifiers. |
