[Virus Effect]

Corv Studios is a start up company and the makers of Virus Effect, a Java 2-D platform shooter RPG. Virus Effect will be a multi player game with co-op function and PVP combat. We are looking for an artist to create the characters, environments, items, effects, etc. This is your opportunity to show off your work to thousands of people. This game has a lot of potential and being on the Java platform it can reach a wide audience.

The main character will be a human and the monsters will include anything from robots to giant mutated reptiles, there will also be a wide range of environments. The game is set in a virtual world which will give you a lot of freedom in your art . As this game is in its early stages you will have a big impact in the direction in which the game goes. You will see your work and ideas enjoyed by a big audience, what is more satisfying than that?

This position is unpaid due to limited funds but you will be compensated and offered a full-time job when the game makes revenue. We are all student but our passion and determination will drive us to success!

PS: Please don't delete this thread, there was no jobs forum. We really do need an artist and this is a great way to get your name out there. We get a lot of visitors daily but most are turned off by the pixel art so we are trying to fix that.

I was thinking about making a general post about how JGO programmers would like to meet artists. If you wanted to dabble a bit in 2D/3D game art and animation head over there and say hi. Tell em Tzan sent you, although most regulars will have forgotten me since I dont post often these days.

Most projects posted there are not meant to be commercial games so dont expect any money. Just an entry level experience in game making.

Virus Effect has gotten positive attention even from the jaded regulars.
