Hi gang

After browsing through some concept threads here I got inspired to make a few of my own. Hope you like them!

Way to go Andree!

Youre a great example of what can be achieved in a short time with hard work and a drawing/structure foundation.

I take it you mostly do mattes right now at work?.. would you ever be interested in working solely with concepts? Either way the environment you are working in now seems to be doing good for your work as well.

well, what can i say.. you're kicking some serious behind!

you've really improved so much over this year it's silly. ( well, thinking about the amount of work you've put in, i suppose it makes a little bit of sense)

great job man!

rassel: montreal eh? =)

great job! I like nr. 1 and 3 especially.
as I prefer a somewhat more traditional painterly look, I can definitely appreciate the clean style of yours.

is there any photo elements in there.. some of the cars perhaps?

keep up the good work.

I think there's a bunch of it there. Which is great because these are dynamic and just great and don't suffer from the "I-distorted-a-photo-here-so-it-looks-crap" problem that most photo-concepts do..

1st and last are my favorites. Third is just a tad too centered in terms of composition. But just great......... Shocked

Thanks guys!! Embarassed

Rassel: It's been some matte in production recently but other than that it's been mostly sketches and concepts, since I've only been working for about... 4 months now. I'm starting to enjoy the concept field more and more, so I definetely think I'd be interested in workingsolely with that.

daryl: yes, there's a bunch of photos in there, especially nr 3. I'm trying to find a good balance between photo manipulation and painting, it's a lot harder than I thought! Nr 1 and 4 is mostly painted though.

Hey AndreeWallin, very cool pictures. Number 3 is definitely my favorite, even though the 2 white monospace cars made it look a bit too symmetrical at first glance, at least that's the feeling I got. But aside from that, I really like the mood, and the attention to every details in the destructed vehicles/structures. I also dig a lot the lightning in the first pic. Looking forward to see more concepts from you ! Smile

Andree: Sounds cool. I'm sure you will be at wherever your aim is sooner or later. My only tip as far as a concept-portfolio is to do more paintings in the same direction as #1,4... and perhaps show more diversity in range of styles/genres. Anyhow... there are tons of approaches and you seem to have a good hold of it yourself : ) But feel free to drop me a line if you want some more insights.

notic: yep.. new job, new country, new language : )
