Hi all,

I've been reading the forum for some time now, and just recently got myself a wacom 6x8. Here's an image I started today.

if you're trying to learn how to draw people with your tablet, you'd be better off drawing average (or even ugly) people than models.

models have generic faces. its been proven that the ideals for human beauty are actually the average of all facial features.

a generic face is harder to draw. if someone has a really big nose, or a wart, its a lot easier to get proportions correct, because you have more landmarks to use. i guess my advice then, is try to draw the wicked witch of the west. =)

(a good example of this in real-world painting is velasquez, who painted portraits of midgets and such. and looking at them as works of art, they're beautiful.)
