Welcome to the Challenge!

We have a pretty good number of participants. Since we have thirty, I had to come up with a chart that won't eliminate anyone for the first two rounds. The chart is not complete yet, but we haven't gotten that far yet anyway. There will be two or three more rounds after round 4.

This is the site I used to generate the numbers 1 through 30: http://www.random.org/sequences/

The first round is quite simple; Once everyone submits their work, I will post all the work here, then everyone involved will vote for the winner per match. I will post a voting template when the time comes. The winners will move to the winners bracket, the losers (you're not really losers Wink

) will move to the losers bracket.

I will do another random number generation for the next part, etc. It looks quite complex but it's fairly simple (at least in my head it seems to make sense.)

Here is the chart, know your enemy, and fight for glory. (sorry for non-widescreen people, scroll to the right)

This challenge is not just a competition; it�s an intense learning experience. Hopefully it will force you to step outside of your artistic comfort zone, and explore newer techniques and methods of illustration.

So get ready!

THEME:

The theme is pretty open-ended, you may interpret it as you like.

Rules:
You may create your work at any size.
Try to relate to the theme as well as you can.
No-shows will lose to their opponent(s).
Do not copy other people's works.

I'm going to say the deadline is in 12 days. E-mail me your works at [email protected] or pm. I would prefer that you send them on the second last day, so that I do not see your work because I am participating as well.

Anyway, good luck! We'll see the results on the 18th hopefully!

There is the plus 24 hour time extension for timezone shenanigans, but get your stuff in asap so I can organize the voting post
