So there was a countdown page to a big announcement, it started 13 days ago, it changed over time and gave clues.

The time was set for 4:00pm eastern time. Over 400 forum pages of speculation and forum members hyped to the max.

The info was going to be a live video stream event from here

I think it was originating from Newtek headquarters.

1 hour before, the forums started getting really slow.
10 minutes before the forums took a minute to load a page.
5 minutes before they crashed. Something happened inside Newtek that didint allow them to send the signal to ustream.

A guy I know called Newtek and confirmed the problem in their office.

So all the hype ends in a crash and about 1000 users that were waiting for the stream to start.
