The light on his chest seems to be a separate entity altogether, they distract from the rest of the work....try blending the edges a little. I like how you used his hand as a primary light source, maybe add a secondary source in the background, as to pucnch out the other side of him...right now you get kinda lost on the other side, one other thing.....what is he standing on?? I looked at it again and it looks like there is another light source comming from the front and to the right a little.....a bit confusing.

I like the picture. Nice use of linear & jagged shapes. The pose is interesting... and that teeny tiny little head is ha! Some ideas:
1. I agree with adding at least a tad of back-lighting - still maintaining the overall look you have, just "popping out" the character just a tad.
2. Unless you want it to be the character posted against the bg, you might consider (if you haven't already) to incorporate the two - like adding fade-out in the bg, or shadows (like from him or just depth shading). I notice a little bit of highlight on the bg, but no real shadows.
3. I also agree with the chest highlights being - well, just different than the way you rendered the others. Blending would seem to tie the whole character together a bit more.
Just my opinions. Keep up the good work!
