First off, kewl image. Nicely done.
What is really drawing me into this picture is the hair. If you look at what you've done there it's really apparent why. You have shaded areas interspersed with big bands of colour, with a little bit of small line weighted colours elsewhere. What you've done that makes the hair so much more successful is that you've produced a variety in mark making techniques.
This variety and play with how you created the look of the hair becomes lost on the rest of the picture due to the lack of variety and the overuse of the single line wietght throughout the picture. It's like you're trying to make the picture with ink that's coloured more like paint, like Van Gough. Personally I think that you are getting to be very successful with the hair and therefore I'd like to see it pushed more that way. More Degas than Van Gough.
Lastly, all the mark making in the rest of the body makes it so that the corset you're wearing feels like it's more of an afterthought. Great solid lines to define the figure, but with the smaller lines throughout the rest of the picture the blockiness of the bottom feels unfinished or rushed.
Anyway, that's my two cents and I hope to see more work from you in the future. _________________ "It's not the tools you use but how you use them that counts." |

I must thanks for your words .
Because Somethings are really right .
First, I have combined the maker making and colour ink technique into this drawing.
and I really don't know houw to draw my corset . Dose it need more detail or not ? I cannot decide .
But I prefer Degas than V.G..
I like drawing with the chalk , oil , and colour ink .And something traditional....
