John Cleese did a tv show about that. Made sense to me. Some guy worked out relative proportions between different areas.
Cool that it can be calibrated like that. |

I saw something about where they cross-referenced all the women commonly considered beautiful, then averaged it all together to find the "ultimate proportionately beautiful woman". The resulting image looked startlingly like Catherine Zeta-Jones.
So there you have it, she really is the perfect woman. |

Beauty is relative in contrast of the specimen and its environment.
For example: "Hey, you look clean. Let's go out to the back of my car!" |

Of course the average face with all anomalies removed is close to the ideal of beauty we have right now.
The results look very lifeless & boring to me though. Very much like videogame characters.
btw. I feel sorry for the person who's masking each frame to get the Smart Blur working on Milla Jovovich's face in the new RE film. |

well, actually if you read it they found that for female faces, averaging didn't necessarely increase attractiveness. |

not the point. Beautiful and attractive are two different things. |

Ever look closely at a L'real ad on european non-hd tv? They got tricks. The fuckers even got different noise garbage in the face and the neck.
Personally, I feel sorrier for the guy who had to smooth up Kimi Rikknen's wedding photos. His skin ended up softer than Dahlman's. Probably didn't end up in the guy's portfolio.
For randomness's sakes! _________________ "hey, wanna dance?"

Can you explain this to non-euros that only casually follow F1? I'm feeling there's a good joke I'm not getting. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Not much of a joke, depending how you want to look at it.
His wife has done professional modeling and is usually covered in an unpenetrable layer of really soft makeup that makes her look like those pleasure dolls from ghost in the shell innocence. Rikknen doesn't have that kind of skin. Except in these very photos, HIS skin was obviously edited and came out much smoother with an unnatural lack of shadows of any kind compared to HER skin.
If the pictures weren't edited, I'm scared. _________________ "hey, wanna dance?"
