Ok i am new to this forum, i recently had a look at some Wacom Tablets and i was wondering *which tablet you can suggest* for me to get for my system..
my specs:
=========
pentium 2/celeron 366
64 megs ram
matrox mga g200
17inch monitor
I am upgrading the ram soon [only if needed]
i will be adding another 128megs..
i found the 4x5 PenPartner USB at the cheapest price, but im not to fussed paying extra for a decent tablet, just to suit my system requirements...

I have a 4x5 and it runs great on as low as a P133, so I think you can go bigger and still have it work good. The bigger you get the better detail you can get out of it. |

You'll get my Wacom Intuos 68 when you dig me up and pry it from my cold dead fingers
Really, the 68 is awesome, as is the rest of the Intuos line. If money wasn't an object at the time, I might have gone up a notch and got the 912, but I have zero complaints about the 68. And, you might even do fine with just a 45. They're also excellent, although some find them too small. But IMO, stick with Intuos and you won't be sorry.

Well, i recently got a 9x12, and it's awsome.
it's the perfect size. large enough to trace images, but not too big so that u wont need a whole new desk for it or anything. it's... *sniff* beautifull.... hehe. i highly reccommend this size. if money's an issue, then wait until u have enough for the 9x12. (if u wanna just mess around on a tablet to see if u wanna get into grapics, then the wacom graphire >4x6< is pretty good to start off with). but for me, it's 9x12 all the way baby (unless of course i win the lottery and have money to throw around to buy the bigger one, hehe.) |

I know this doesn't help you d-no, but since we're on the subject...
I am too going to buy a Wacom Intuos, and planning to get a 12x12... but how does that work? And do you think its worth it? (keeping in mind that the 12x12 is only around 20 bucks [i think] more expensive than the 9x12) |

Thanx for the feedback, ok i will go for the 6x8 intuos pen. I use photoshop and i read somewhere here people complain about jaggered lines appearing.. Will this occur only in photoshop? Or do i need Painter to use the pen with accurate detail?
