I'm sure someone knows how to disable an on-board graphics adapter to use a PCIE card in it's place. Do I have to disable it in the BIOS before I put in the new card, or can I just put it in there and install the drivers?

O/S: Windows XP Pro

Usually thre's a swith on a motherboard.
Take a look in your motherboard documentation.

you can also do it in the bios

Thanks for the help. Bios was the answer (finally found it in an oscure online doc). Wasn't sure if there was still a jumper or something.
