(ran out of good subject headings)
anyway, thought I'd show this a little.
no doubt most around here will want more colour, more depth, more technique etc etc, but the pic didn't call for it. |

I call for LESS depth! LESS color! heh, i love this piece, remniscent of some great old propoganda posters -and yes i actually think you could use fewer color-- but only in the clouds, i think if they were somewhat posterized, more solid, that they would help the shaded pieces stand out and compliment the flatness of the man and the ground... one side could even be blue and the other grey, with a solid diagonal line dividing them in a very graphic style -- reguardless thats just an idea, i like what you've already done!

The hand looks a little malformed.
Other than that, I like the style. It instantly reminded me of the propaganda posters as well. Very cool.

cool, it does work then!
Yes that was the idea; sort of a weird version of an art deco poster.
thanks lads.
I agree it could have been even flatter in places, but I was in a cloudy sort of mood.
And the hand is my hand; I just held it up and relaxed it and then drew it. It still looks odd though, I agree (thumb and middle finger too long etc). |

I like it, Muz. It gives me the same feeling as when I look at work from that guy who does the KMFDM album covers/posters. I can't remember his name

why yes, yes I am. Still, the pic has really nothing to do with the song (it's a love song really) just the meaning of the words.
And the artist blind refers to is BRUTE (who's site I cant seem to find right now, oh well.) |

the translation I got had it that "burden & misery" was the best in the context of the other lyrics, so that's what I was using.
