This image is part of the Infinite OZ experience - "An artistic collaboration that brings to life the world of the Sci-Fi miniseries event, Tin Man." It is best understood by visiting the "experience" itself at:
http://www.scifi.com/tinman/oz/
The following artists also contributed: Philip Straub, Greg Petchkovsky, Martin Lisec, Gerardo de Gerard, Geoffrey White, Raphael Lacoste, Phil McDarby and Rudolf Herczog. The coordination and final animation was done by B-Reel.
The Milltown Exterior image was all done in Photoshop (with a little help from 3dsmax) over a couple of weeks and the final image is about 10000 pixels wide (as are all the others) to allow for the big zoom. Each of the artists was given a short brief about the environment to create but the rest was up to us using our imagination and interpretation. I am quite proud to have been part of such an amazing group of artists.

Well what can I say, thanks for sharing! It's always nice to see this much detail in a piece of art, makes checking the whole scene out a whole lot interesting
I dont like the head parts of the lamps, but that's just me
Just seeing the pic made me think of resident evil, zombies and whatnot |

thats so cool...the lit part of the road with all the nuts and bolts is nice to look at...like eating a fine and rare piece of butterscotch...
...only part that bugs me a bit is the cloth/awnings on the left...just seem a bit un-clothy _________________ www.andresguzman.com

The design is a bit lacking in places: the lamp heads as someone pointed out are kind of crude, and that church tower in the background looks kind of odd, the shape is so rudimentary, like it was a box cast out of concrete with a steeple on top and a clock on the side. I'd recommend looking up some references of a real building that looks about the way you like, and nicking some details from that to spice it up a little. |
