Hey everyone, found this forum while searchign for info on broken files. I use a Wacom Graphire (old, I know) and with it came bundled Procreate Painter. I have Elements and Painter X, but they don't have the same feel to me.
I was in the middle of a commission when the computer bluescreened. Upon restart, Procreate now gave me an error:
"Error in "Digital Airbrush.xml" line 1 col 0:
Brush definition not seen"
I've had the program installed for 5-6 years now, and moved twice, so I am looking for the original software disk that came with the tablet, but so far I'm not having a lot of luck. Does anyone have any advice, or would anyone with Procreate Painter Classic be willing to help with a patch? Funds are pretty pinched right now, and I can try to work with another program til I get Procreate fixed, but I can't manage to feel at home with any of the others. |

Why you want to drive a car with 3 bald tires and a flat, just beacuse you're more comfortable with it, is simiilar to your aversion to using Painter X...It's not quite as bad as still running Windows 3.1, but pretty close...
I started with the Painter Classic that came with my Intuos, and have suffered through Painter 7 and 8 until acquiring Painter X.
Yes, it's different, but OH! so much more powerful and versatile!
Since you already have it, you are driving your old clunker, while you have a brand new BMW in your driveway...
Think of this as a GOOD thing, in that you should now step up and USE the better software YOU ALREADY HAVE!.
Bite the bullet, fire up Painter X, take some time to explore and play, and within a week, you'll be more comfortable with it. In a month, you'll wonder why you stuck with the "Lite" flavor of the old (and at this stage, we're talking OLD) software.
Change is inevitable, growth is optional. Use this opportunity to grow...
