Very cool. The front turtle is a little "blocky" looking, i.e. he doesn't look as aqua-dynamic as he could be. Otherwise, the piece looks really good. The colors are good. And, the style looks wet, that's cool digital-wise.

I think the front turtle sticks out too much it doesnt look like its in the water, I think you need to change the hues a bit to get a better sense of depth.

Will do thank you for the crit, maybe adding a simple colver overlay (blueish in tint) migh help to resolve the problem. I'll work more on it soon.

Yes that's a good idea it will homogenise the colours a bit, I would also recommend you add some different hues the background as i think the blue/green palette is too narrow at the moment.

Heh what a coincidence. I was sketching a few seaturtles myself earlier today, I can see we both used google images for reference. Generally I guess it's a good idea to put some variation into the painting so the reference isn't so easy to recognize. Other than that it's a good painting so far Smile

Oh yeah, I had to have this done asap for a firend's kid for his birthday so I didn't really have time to add a ton of variation ya know. I figured I can use this as a study as much as a gift for a friends kid.

Thanks for the compliment =D

the turtle up closer should have more texture, and depth. under his belly it should look a bit more darker

Hello
I enjoy the idea and the work so far.
Personaly I would give more detailing to the foreground turtle, perhaps in the textures of the skin...
I think you are on the right way Very Happy
Best regards

It's looking good now. I really like the jellyfish. I'm partial to SpongeBob.
