Alright, I'm at college right now and I'm not technically an art major. Because of that I shouldn't be able to register for any art classes. Moreover I shouldn't be able to register for any art classes beyond the very basic levels if I would declare an art major or minor.
However for reasons unknown to me the holds that usually keep people from registering for art classes were not there for a figure painting class, and as of now I am enrolled for said class.
I'm very excited but also a bit scared, it's an upper division art class and I don't just want to bomb it. I'm thinking I should start practicing figure drawing again... and maybe practicing with the 'artist oils' in painter since I don't own oil paint myself.
Those are probably the no-brainers though, if anyone has any advice on what I should do to get prepared I'd appreciate it.
Also, I was hanging out with someone related to a Stephen Quiller the other weekend, and they mentioned that he did a lot with the color wheel and color theory. I googled him and I really enjoyed some of his stuff. Do people around here know who he is? |
