I'm mostly oil painting now... Found this painter today and thought I'd share it with you.

amazing talent there. although i tend to wonder why her paintings are so literal in terms of photographic reference.

She truly is a perfectionist. Quite awesome stuff.
A little bit imagination here and there would do wonders tho,...

Clearly painted from a photograph and probably projected for the initial drawing/layout, but the lo rez web photo makes it look more photo realistic than it really is. It's actually quite painterly... here's a link to a much larger version: http://alyssamonks.com/images/theraceDETAIL.jpg
