Sorry to post twice. Just finished this one, and would love some constructive criticism. This is Buddy, from Angels in America, from photo reference.

Came out really nice, your values are spot on and structurally it's looking good. You've got some really nice details in that fabric, too. I think the colors are a little muddy and muted, though - less brown and more color in your shadow. It could use just a little more contrast all around - darken the spots where it should be totally dark, just to give the image some more pop. |

beautiful color scheme. only thing to critic ;P. I think if you extend the image and add her hands, pic will be much more expressive |

Thank you for the comments and criticism! I did actually want to put in the hands, but they were outside the reference photo, and, since I'm doing these to learn, I didn't want to add something which would likely look out of place (worse) in the frame. Plus, the position of her arms made it kinda hard to figure out how her hands should interact with the door behind her. |

that's when you take some artistic liberty and paint the hands how you want them. I would have had the one arm resting on the door handle and the other hand flat against the wall/door, palm down.
Its really a great pic. i could look at it all afternoon. |

Thank you for the suggestions. I may try to add the arms and fix the color, when I have some free time. |
