I have posted some of these at other forums, so some of you might have seen these already. I am working on a ~20-25 page comic story, with the intent of creating a self published book with two other artist friends of mine. The story I am doing is a space opera, and so there's a lot of preproduction type work up front. Some of the space ship shots were done with Sketchup, and then taken into Photoshop for some extra texture/paint/filter work. Those were from a few months ago, I hope I haven't already posted those here...

hey francis, these are really great! I have kind of an issue for very repeated shapes like in the first pic, but all the other ones I enjoy a lot. The more freehand ones as well as the more graphic ones using 3d. anyways, I think it'll make a great book.

Thanks very much guys, I appreciate the comments. These are sort of snapshots of an evolving style choice for the comic, and probably for my illustration in general. I'll post more stuff later on to see what people respond to.
