I did it in PhotoShop
I used 2 layers at first, the background and the body. I blocked out the body with the paintbrush, and airbrushed in details. Then I used the smudge tool to simulate the fur....and all that good stuff. Took about 4 hours.

it looks realistic, except for the fact that it looks like it is standing in front of a bus coming straight for it,.

i love the image, but the cat looks scared as hell,.
