Hi, I started to update an old image of mine (old one first). Reference used for hand and head, is that way too visible? Is the changes for the better? Is there any glaring errors on colors, composition etc. is important to improve?

nice composition and lighting. the changes are for the most part for the better, but plz don't ue the preset brush for the leaves in the new pic. it really detracts from something that is otherwise really awesome. Or mayb use it fer the stuff in the background, but paint the leaves in the mid - foreground

The right part of the image looks odd composition wise. Is she riding a horse, standing behind it, about to get on it or what? Also she seems way over lit. I find the motion blurred leafs out of place for this pic. Are they really moving this fast compared to her and the horse? I like the background though Smile

Thanks for the feedback!

michalczyk:
She's riding of course, thats stated in the subject! Smile No seriously you are right about the problems there. Hopefully this update fixes it.
I also toned down a bit on the blurriness of the foreground.

CwStone:
I did some manual work on the leaves. Time consuming but worth it!

the leaves look great, much better.

I think her leg might have looked a bit more anatomically correct in the first pic though, but whatev it looks good

There's still some work with the leg, it was rather quickly made to make it more visible that shes actually riding.

Anyway, I did find some excellent tutorials that Linda Bergqvist has on her site www.furiae.com. Hence I started to do some more work on the girls head. I had to upsample quite a bit to be able to get into the details.

Still got to improve hair, luckily there's a tutorial for that too Smile

Redid the girl quite a bit to fix anatomical issues. Will have to redo the face that I spent so much time on... :/

vis-a-vis the face, the newest version is a big improvement, the previous ones looked very stiff. Now it looks like she's reacting to something, not just staring off into the distance. You have given her quite a big shoulder though...

I like the face on the Nov 13 post alot more as the mouth has so much expression it's a shame to see it go. She genuinely looks concerned, I love it. Also with her upper body she looked like she is really pulling back on the reigns, which I feel you've lost a tad with the newest update.

I love the horse on the newest one, that armor is awesome and mysterious. Great work! Very Happy

Probably the final version.

Iceprism: Thanks for the comment. I tried to bring back a bit of the expression from the older version. Maybe I will carry on with it next year, but this will have to be it for a while.
