Insanity - i am pretty sure the rocks are from photos...

looks pretty good so far, mate!

I like the impression of your third sketch the best...i was thinking overcast sky on the forground and have the light lit up the city in the background as your sketch had suggested. I think that would make a much more interesting result in the end. Also, the shape of thebuildings now look too repetitive and modern...I assume you're stilling putting in the ships?

btw, how did you create the perspective grid layer? is that a trick feature in Photoshop?

Long needed update. Class finished and I am fairly happy since this is my first real matte. A lot of time into the piece, but could use a lot more. For now it's time to move onto other things.






I can find a lot wrong with it, but for now, this is where I shall leave it... I chose to leave out the shipsand change the composition around. Made it more modernism high rise busy life meets simple coastal maine fishing town...

As for the perspective trick, I just created a line, duplicated it multipletimes and used the skew transform to get it into shape.
