I want to start learning how to draw but it takes a lot of time. I've started something but I'm stuck. The context for this drawing is that my friend needed a logo for his music band. I needed to draw a phoenix (which is related to their name).
Any tips would be appreciated..

Perhaps you could start simpler. Figure out what you want in line/doodle form, before implementing your design.
I would like to help but I'm not sure what you're looking for. What about it don't you like? |

I'm proud of my phoenix but I had no ideas for the back, so I used bricks instead of a black background
I just tried something different now..
I'm open if someone have a better idea..
is the new version better? |

'1st Greg martin tutorial' stuff can be seen from a mile away. Space scenes like this have been done to death, and unless you have something revolutionary up your sleave, I'd avoid the whole planetary thing. I don't mean to say its bad, just not working imo. I preferred what you had earlier. |

I appreciate your honesty! I know it's not bad but if it doesnt fit well, I prefer to do something else..
do you personnaly have an idea of the direction I should take for the background. Do you think that the first version should be the final version or should I try something else (any ideas???).
