Iain Banks strikes again. Fucking brilliant. A lesson in combining total apocalyptic chaos with introspective moments of poetic reflection.

(Yes i know that sounds dumb. Just read it.)

Yeah, took me some time to realise that That's one of the great things of Iain Banks, he tries to make the reader personify him/herself with seriously fucked-up persons. The guy is brilliant.

Must be the first (and probably only) story written in the I-perspective in which the head character dies
