Hey ppl, as part of a project I'm working on I need a danceable house track. So here's what I've got so far. The main hook I suppose, it's a loop atm but would be built up to this as the most intense part of the song.

Does it feel like a track you'd hear in a club and likely dance to? I've listened to it so long now I just don't have an unbiased ear.
Mastering is horrible so far, but I'm getting a pro to work on it sometime. My apologies to audiophiles. |

I really like it. As to being danceable I'm probably the wrong person to ask, I am very picky when it comes to what I dance to and it is nearly exclusively rather hard and fast and very prominent straightforward beats. Also I haven't danced in ages, should really go out and do that again some day. Too bad the clubs around here are all rather sucky these days.
I would enjoy hearing your track in a club though, even if it might not make me dance I'd say it probably can lure lots of normal people on the dancefloor. |

Doesn't sound danceable to me!
It's like an electronic ballade (good for movie ending credits). |

It's definitely not a house track, unfortunately. And it sounds more like game music than anything that would be played in a club. It's not bad game music, but that's just the vibe I get from it.
House music is basically the same thing as disco, but often with jazzier timing.
Sorry dude. Good dance music is harder to make than a lot of "proper" musicians give it credit for. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

I don't know what you guys are talking about! If I was a level 16 blue mage who just ravaged a party of angry monsters, I would so get down with this tune.
It is nice so far, but maybe a little too...spacey...for dancing? Dancing music seems to be more aggressive and throbbing. While I like what you have now, the smooth timbre and melody of the synths on top and the slightly slower tempo make this less dance-like and more chill-like. The chords in the background might also be better a bit louder or less muffled. Maybe that's what you intended. Keep working on it, regardless. |

Thx guys, got heaps to think about. Your feedback is always useful.
I've been told it sounds like game music before, and I can totally understand your ideas everyone, it helps immensely. Thx again. |
