Heyja guys, finally got around to putting up a website. Still a few minor things that need fixing, and Id really appreciate any feedback. =)

You've got some nice art there. I like the sense of distance in this one:

Absolutely amazing stuff Naglfar! There's a awesome atmophere in most of your pics.
It's easy to see that some of your images are influenced by spooge.
Which is good!! Keep up the great work!

Great art included... The site is very well done also. But theres one thing negative for me which bugs me big time. The intro, the whole site construction looks way too similar (almost actually the same) to Craig Mullins' site. And this fact combined with the fact that your quality work is similar to Mullins' work also is quite bugging me. No offense, you are a great talent and great artist in my opinion. But these facts shadowing your art (in my eyes) very much, which is not a very good thing and is a pitty I suppose...

Hope you understand my sincere feedback.

Cheerz...

Well frantic, that's what coppermine pretty much looks like.. The dark background makes sense too, as it makes the images more pleasant to look at.

Naglfar I really like your stuff and I see no problem with the spooge comparison. If painting with 'realistic' lighting is the thing in environment design right now, I think it's natural that people are going this way.. A more personal approach will surely develop, like handwriting, as years go by.. Keep up the good work Naglfar!

Thanks a lot for the comments guys, very much appreciated. =)

Sure my work is influenced by Mullins and loads of other artists. It would be pretty silly not to be influenced by the art you like out there. You said it quite well Mikko, a personal approach and/or style developes pretty naturaly over time, so its not really something Im overly worried about. =)

What a coincidence--I just made a blog entry about Eve Online's latest trailers like, two days ago.

I think your environment stuff is nice, but your figures need to catch up to your environments.

Naglfar,

I just want to clear things if theres a missunderstanding. Because when I've said 'Your work is similar to Mullins' I meant nothing but positive feedback. Because I love that Artist too and I am influenced also -however, my style is way different- by his masterworks. I just pointed or wanted to point to the similarity of your web site! Which is or was the case here since you wanted feedbacks for your site. I don't even thought that I should say that you will have your own approach and style in time... Cos this is for sure anyway, its needles to say.

Imagine your artwork with a totally different (maybe your own design would be great) website concept/design (with dark atmosphere!)! I have nothing to say to your art, it's simply very good. (That kind of own design thing is something I need too, so do not try to take my crap website as an example:P)

Anyways, just wanted to clear that out. As you've said, you don't have to be worry about your artwork, but you should worry about your website which represents you and it shouldn't cause even one person (like me) to point and focus on the website instead of the work.

Cheerz...
