it's a great start....
first thing I'd say is study a little more in your anatomy and shapes/porportions.. [shapes etc for the nose etc, because it's looking flat into his right cheek]
it also looks unfinished in some spots[her dress, parts of the floor etc]
and I'd pay some attention to perspective [the floor angle to the peoples angle is a little wierd... and the (our) left]
the colors don't nessicarily jump out at me, but witha more photorealistic feel they don't always...
but I like your work and keep workin... _________________ -jonny
