I was in L.A. for a week, and then in San Fran/Bay Area (still here. I'm originally from here). As some of you know, Northern and Southern Cal people kinda of dislike the other, and have lots of reasons for the way they feel. I personally wish to combine the cultural/art activities, entertainment industry, and cheaper housing of L.A. with the vibe and environment of San Fran/Bay Area. But as reality stands, I'd have to pick and choose one for my next place of residence (I've been in China and Malaysia for the last 4 years). I'd most likely get back into the game or CG industry, and both N. and S. Cal has plenty of both. I do like SF/Bay Area more, but I could only afford to buy a house in L.A.. So hard to decide.

San Fran!

I don't need the additional competition down here! Wink

Nah, actually I think L.A. is the best bet, if you want the potential for more film work. I think you could make either work, tho. I hink cost of living is alot more reasonable down here also.

BTW- I picked up the d'artiste Digital Painting book by Ballistic, saw you in there. Great stuff, excellent tut!

Since I have two kids I would have to make $90 in the bay area just to eat. The more I research it the more I seem to want to work in the graphic design industry since two of the three top American firms are located the low price markets of Dallas and Wichita.
