Hehe, very nice. I didn't know what to expect with the title, but this was a really funny surprise. I love Izzy's (I assume Izzy is the white small dog) innocent look. The photo of him on the wall is a great touch. I also like how mum is totally pissed off.
Some crits, hope you actually want them. Dad's jaw is bothering me a bit, maybe it is because the area between upper lip and lower is a straight line, or could be that it is just too wide open in general and looks dislocated. Also his body looks a bit too big. Looks a bit like he got a hunchback, also the violet coloration you got in there is a bit distracting. His hand pose looks a bit weird too, Im not sure but it might look totally ok with a pointed finger instead.
No crits on the rest of the family except that mums square jaw makes her look a bit masculine and the body looks a bit big also, because the curve just below the breast sweeps out again. If you would've just made it continue like its the breast, itd look more natural.
Last crit is that the background where the dog stands looks a bit bland due to the flat colors, but I think that might be solved by making the floor a more redish color so theres a bit more contrast to the wall, or maybe even just do something with the edge between wall and floor.
I hope my crits don't sound crushing, it's a very nice image and well done. Composition works great too in my opinion. In case I came off as nitpicking too much, just ignore my brainfarts |

Glitterbug, thanks for the awesome crits again, they're always spot on. Went with all your suggestions minus those on the dad, I felt his expression really conveys his irritation and the finger is thusly pointed as if he's commanding the dog to get down. Otherwise, though, I fixed mom's breast and jaw, changed the floor in the back, toned down the purple on dad's back, and finished the edge of the table that I had forgotten about. Thanks again

I have to agree. It is bothering me as well. It's one of the first things I noticed... If you cover the top of his face with your finger, his jaw just looks dislocated, not conveying a sense of anger. Maybe if you bring the corner of his mouth back a little and curl his top lip to show some teeth... that might help to connect the emotions bewteen the jaw and eyes a little better for us veiwers.
The other things that you fixed turned out great, though. Your coloring is a great technique.
One other thing I noticed... what if you had the lamp at sort of a tilt? I know it may throw off your higlighting... but it might also show more action and movement in the swinging doggy. If you decide not to tilt the lamp, it might make a little more sense for it to be hanging from a solid rod rather than a chain... because when I think of someone swinging on a lamp, I see the lamp movig as well. |

Thanks a lot feefie, your comments were great too. Glad you chimed in about dad's mouth, apparently it was more of an issue than I thought, I think it looks much better now. And the swinging lamp was another good touch. I think I'm calling this one finished, gotta get it printed this week. Thanks again
